Privacy, disclaimers and how we make money

Your email address. Entered by you, used to send your routine and occasional skincare emails.

Your quiz answers. Skin type, the concerns you selected and how severe they are, your age band, budget, products you already use, whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and any prescription medication you tell us about. Some of this describes your health. We collect it only because the routine cannot be built without it, and you choose what to enter.

A face photo, if you upload one. Optional. Used to estimate pigmentation, redness and texture. Stored in a private storage bucket that is not publicly readable.

The routine we generate for you. Kept alongside your answers so we can resend it and improve the engine.

We do not ask for your name, address, phone number or any payment details, because there is currently nothing to pay for.

We use a small number of processors. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job.

• Supabase stores your signup, your answers and your photo.
• Resend delivers your routine email and receives your email address to do it.
• Anthropic processes your free-text sensitivity note and, if you upload one, your photo, to turn them into structured inputs for the routine engine. Anthropic does not train models on data sent through its API.
• Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a limited period.

We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Every product link on this site is an affiliate link. If you buy something after clicking one, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Today that means two programs:

• iHerb. Our iHerb links carry a rewards code that gives you a discount and pays us a commission. Most of the routine is bought here.
• Olive Young Global. Links carry an influencer reward code that discounts your order and pays us a commission. Olive Young pays us roughly two and a half times what iHerb does, which is exactly why the ordering rule below matters.

Both retailers set their own cookies when you follow a link, and their privacy policies apply from that point on.

The engine picks products by ingredient, formulation strength and fit for your skin. It will only link to a retailer whose code discounts you, which is why there are no Amazon links. Where a product is sold by more than one of our partners, the cheaper one is listed first, even when it is the one that pays us less. On the products we carry at both, that puts iHerb first two times out of three. Commission rate is not a ranking input, and the code that orders these links says so in a comment.

Glow Lab is a consumer skincare tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose anything, and nobody involved in generating your routine is your doctor.

The ingredient information on this site cites published research, and those citations link to real studies on PubMed. Published evidence about an ingredient is not a prediction about your face. Individual results vary enormously, and a routine that suits most people with your answers may still irritate you.

See a dermatologist rather than this website if you have a mole or lesion that is changing, skin that is broken, bleeding, blistering or infected, a diagnosed condition under treatment, or a reaction that worsens after starting anything you read here. Stop using a product immediately if it causes a reaction.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking prescription medication such as isotretinoin or tretinoin, tell us in the quiz so the engine can exclude unsafe actives, and clear the routine with your doctor before you start it.

Prices shown on this site are indicative and are not fetched live. The retailer’s own page is always the correct price.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glow Lab and its operator are not liable for any loss, damage, adverse reaction or expense arising from your use of the site, the routines it generates, or any product purchased through a link on it. You use the recommendations at your own discretion and your own risk.

You can ask us to show you everything we hold on you, correct it, or delete it. You can withdraw consent to emails at any time. There is no form and no waiting period: email hello@kglowskin.app and we action it, including any photo you uploaded.

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails; say the word and we delete the underlying record too.

We keep signup records for as long as the project runs. Photos are deleted on request and are not used for anything other than generating your own analysis. We do not use your photo in marketing unless you explicitly opt in.

Glow Lab is intended for adults. Do not submit a photo or quiz answers for anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted data, email hello@kglowskin.app and we will remove it.

If what we collect or who processes it changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Material changes to how we handle data already collected will be sent to subscribers by email.
